The Kuturma mountain pass is a remarkable destination situated in the heart of Kyrgyzstan's Jalal-Abad region, approximately 240 km southwest of Bishkek. Standing at an elevation just surpassing 2400 meters above sea level, the pass offers an exhilarating experience that draws trekkers and adventurers alike.
To the north of the pass lies rugged mountain terrain, while the southern side transitions into undulating hills. The area surrounding Kuturma pass exhibits a diverse landscape, characterized by mountainous terrain in the north and hilly expanses in the south. The district's highest point, reaching an elevation of 2894 meters, is located 1.3 km northwest of the pass itself.
The region encompassing the Kuturma Pass boasts a sparse population density of 24 people per square kilometer. Amid this tranquility, visitors will encounter expansive pastures, picturesque meadows adorned with vibrant wildflowers, and the presence of rare plant species that flourish in this unique ecosystem.
