Kyzyl-Beyit Village
Kyzyl-Beyit: A Remote Village Embraced by Mountains and the Naryn River
Visits: 869
Nestled within the Aksy district of the Jalal-Abad region, Kyzyl-Beyit is a village with a unique geography. It is flanked by imposing mountains on one side and separated from the mainland by the Naryn River on the other. The primary connections to the outside world rely on ferries and boats. Once a thriving village in times when automobiles were nonexistent, relying on horses and donkeys as primary means of Transportation, Kyzyl-Beyit's fortunes shifted as the ties between the village and the mainland weakened. Slowly, its population dwindled, and its prominence diminished. Houses are perched on the hilly terrain due to the scarcity of flat land. Residents tend to goats and cows, producing milk and butter as their livelihood. For those seeking tranquility, Kyzyl-Beyit offers respite from the urban clamor, even if it comes with some inconveniences. Presently lacking electricity, the village depends on solar energy for lighting, watching television, and charging mobile phones. While a night without electricity might seem inconvenient in modern society, it's an opportunity to embrace the simplicity of nature under the starlit sky, away from the city's hustle and bustle.
