Visits: 3311
Kara-Suu Lake graces Kyrgyzstan's landscape as a mesmerizing mountain dammed reservoir nestled within the Tien Shan's embrace. Its elongated form stretches from southeast to northwest, residing at an elevation of 2022 meters above sea level. Cradled by the Ferghana Range, the lake finds its home in the Toktogul district of the Jalal-Abad region. It rests between the Takhtalyk and Ken-Kel ridges, and shares a connection with Lake Kapka-Tash, located at an altitude of 2303 meters. The Shibe River pours its waters into Kara-Suu Lake, and a river of the same name flows out, eventually becoming a left tributary of the Naryn River, which further contributes to the Naryn's majestic flow. This serene oasis offers a stunning panorama of natural beauty, where the tranquil waters mirror the towering peaks that surround it. Kara-Suu Lake serves as a testament to the majestic power of nature, beckoning explorers to immerse themselves in its picturesque embrace.
