Situated in the embrace of the Alamedin Gorge on the northern slope of the Kyrgyz Ala-Too, this enchanting cascade invites adventurers to explore its pristine beauty. Located in the Alamudun district of Chüy Region, the waterfall emanates from the eastern slope of the Alamedin gorge. Positioned merely 800 meters from the Atjailoo River's mouth, and 3.2 kilometers from its source, the waterfall stands as a testament to the marvels of nature. Embark on a picturesque day's hike to witness the waterfall's splendor. During summer, the gorge adorns itself in vibrant greenery, harmonizing with the wildlife to create an unforgettable communion with the untamed wilderness. Winter casts a spell of wonder as the cascade transforms into an ethereal ice sculpture, echoing with the soft rustle of water beneath frozen layers. This enchanting spectacle lasts until mid-April. The waterfall, approximately 10 meters tall and spanning up to 2 meters in width, gracefully descends from a cliff, its cascading streams a mesmerizing sight. An adjacent natural platform offers a serene vantage point for observing the waterfall's flowing poetry. Be prepared for a 2 to 2.5-hour hike one way, including three crossings of the Alamedin River. During early summer, shallow waters facilitate easy stone crossings. However, caution is advised during the rainy Season when water levels surge. Rope assistance might be necessary for secure crossings. Alamüdün Waterfall stands as a testament to nature's grandeur and invites explorers to experience the tranquility of Chüy Region's unspoiled beauty.
