The Ak-Sai Glacier is a remarkable natural wonder located at an altitude of 3500 meters in the breathtaking Ala-Archa gorge, near the city of Bishkek. Nestled within the renowned Kyrgyz Ala-Too mountains, this glacier forms a stunning semi-horseshoe shape. The unique geographical positioning of these mountains prevents south winds from entering the valley, resulting in the accumulation of a vast layer of ice. To facilitate mountaineering and exploration in the Ak-Sai Glacier area, four base camps have been established, with the Ratseka Hut being the most prominent. Hiking on the glacier is a popular pursuit among travelers from around the world, with over 80 established routes. Among the area's highest and most captivating peaks are Semenov-Tyan-Shansky (4875 m), Korona (4860 m), Svobodnaya Korea (4740 m), Bailyan-Bashi (4700 m), Simagina (4400 m), and Boxing (4240 m).
