The modern ski base 'Karakol' is located in Kyrgyzstan, 7 km from the city of Karakol (Issyk-Kul region). In Soviet times, it was used for training the Olympic national team. In 2004, the base was completely modernized.

The Karakol ski base is a unique ski resort due to its natural conditions. Situated at an altitude of 2300 meters above sea level, on the slopes of the Tien Shan mountains, amidst majestic coniferous forests. In winter, the daytime air temperature rarely drops below -5 degrees Celsius, and plenty of sunny days allow for skiing and sunbathing simultaneously. The ski season starts in November and lasts until April. Throughout this time, you don't need to worry about snow - it covers the ground with a dense layer, with a thickness ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 meters.
