Explore the captivating beauty of Sokuluk Gorge, a natural wonder tucked away on the south side of Ala Too. Spanning about 31 km in length, this gorge invites adventurers to discover its breathtaking landscapes and unique geological formations. Ascending above the stone spring, the plateau encompasses 22 km in its upper part and 9 km in its lower part. The foot of the gorge rests at an altitude of 1400-3000 m above sea level, while the highest point of closed types reaches 4100 m. The relative depth of the gorge ranges from 900 to 2200 m, with a narrow bottom measuring 50-200 m and steep sides that boast angles of 35-90°. The terrain presents a challenging terrain shaped by ancient glaciers and water flows. The upper reaches of Sokuluk Gorge and its tributaries are characterized by steep valleys culminating in rocky ridges adorned with modern glaciers. Along the foot of these valleys, narrow V-shaped gorges carve their path, sculpted by water erosion. The sides of the gorge feature intricate grooves, adding to the gorge's mystique. From Tosh-Bulak, the gorge transforms into a wide valley, stretching 1-3 km wide to the north. This transformation gives rise to dense rocks that further enrich the landscape with their grandeur. Embark on a journey to Sokuluk Gorge to unravel its geological history and embrace the raw beauty that Kyrgyzstan's nature has to offer.
