The journey to Son-Kol Lake unveils an array of captivating vistas. One of the routes leading to the lake guides travelers through the Zhalgyz-Karagay pass. This pass stands at an elevation of 3437 meters above sea level. The crossing time varies from half an hour to an hour, contingent on individual fitness levels and prevailing weather conditions. The Zhalgyz-Karagay trail can be categorized as moderately challenging. Even from the midway point of the pass, Lake Son-Kol's azure waters come into view, initially appearing as a small cerulean segment that gradually expands as one descends. Adjacent to the pass is a verdant pasture adorned with fragrant grass, along with the Kelimche valley where yurts stand.
