The Kök-Moinok Canyon
On the way to Lake Issyk-Kul in the Boom Gorge, about 150 km. from Bishkek, there are colorful and unique in their relief canyons - Kok-Moinok. It was named after the nearby village of Kok-Moinok of the same name. The mountainous landscape is represented here by red-yellow sandstone, which indicates a history of many thousands of years of relief corrosion. Therefore, winding passages up to 2.5 km long. sometimes they surprise with their figures and buildings. Photo lovers will find many interesting moments here, and a walk to the foot of the upper mountains will offer a beautiful view of the canyons and Boom Gorge.
