Elm Grove, known locally as Karagachevaya Roshcha, is a historic wooded park in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Consider it for a walk, nature photography or an introduction to the capital's green heritage.
Why visit Elm Grove?
The appeal is the woodland landscape itself: take time to notice the trees, changing foliage and details that are easy to miss during a busy city itinerary. A visit can fit into a day exploring Bishkek's parks and urban history.

Gardener Alexei Fetisov and his students established the grove in 1881. Their planting work helped transform the landscape. The park later expanded after the Second World War.
